 |
Canola oil is the oil most widely used by Canadians and has an excellent health image in North America.
It contains both linoleic (omega 6) and alpha-linolenic (omega 3) essential fatty acids. It has a high oleic acid content and a low saturated fat content.
It is the ideal complement to a Mediterranean diet since it is one of the commonly used oils with the highest alpha-linolenic fatty acid content.
